Qualifications required

Whilst it is not necessary to be a practicing bookkeeper or accountant, a First Class Accounts franchisee should be computer-literate, have experience in record keeping, have an eye for detail, and have a passion for helping small businesses to succeed. If this sounds like you then you could be ideal for our team. We are looking for people who:

  • Would love to work for themselves yet would appreciate the support and mentoring of a national office
  • Ideally have had some experience or training in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Enjoy helping people grow their own businesses
  • Like to learn, share knowledge, and be part of a team
  • Possess a positive spirit, a ‘can-do’ attitude and outlook

Combine this with the motivation and readiness to develop your own business, a commitment to the highest standards of customer service, plus the readiness to take on the responsibilities of a business owner, and you’ll have what it takes to join and succeed in our network.

Training for success

We provide seven (7) weeks extensive training - via both correspondence and live-in training, after which you will be licensed to commence business as a First Class Accounts business owner. Together with our registered training organisation partners we’ll also assist you to work towards the Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) and to gain accreditation to provide BAS services.

Our unique comprehensive training programs incorporate:

  • Unlimited access to members of our National Office support team.
  • A comprehensive 13 week ‘Kick Start’ business launch program.
  • Learning how to source, capture and develop your own client base. We will also send you any bookkeeping leads we receive that are within your territory.
  • Mentorship: we buddy you with an established and successful First Class Accounts franchisee to guide you in the early stages of your business.
  • Free access to regular state-based Regional Training Sessions, our franchisee advisory forums and members’ website, one-on-one business development meetings, and the opportunity to attend our annual conference.
  • Access to the First Class Accounts strategic alliance partnership programs.
  • Partnerships with MYOB, Xero and QuickBooks software providers

Marketing Support

Brand marketing and lead generation activities are undertaken at both national level, and at local level
where our national office will assist you in local area marketing activities.

National Advertising and Promotion

National marketing and branding is undertaken by the First Class Accounts
