What does it take to be a Bedshed franchisee?

What does it take to be a Bedshed franchisee?

Becoming a franchisee is a great opportunity to take control of your lifestyle and enjoy a rewarding career.  While retail experience is not critical, we’ve listed a couple of traits common to our successful franchisee partners.

  1. They are team players

One of the advantages of joining a franchise is the support from other franchisees and the franchisor – you don’t have to go it alone.  Bedshed has a network of franchisee partners who draw on each other to address their individual business challenges and share tips and tricks with each other too. Our professional central office staff and the company’s three decades of experience in franchising are other great benefits to our franchisees.

  2. They are passionate about customer service.

As online shopping continues to grow, it’s important for bricks and mortar retailers to value add for customers in store.  Customer service is the key to competing with the popularity of online shopping and Bedshed franchisees do this effectively.  They have a ‘can-do’ attitude and their customers are always their first priority.

  3. They enjoy working ‘on-the-floor’.

At Bedshed, we have seen time and time again that franchises are most successful when the franchisee is directly involved in the day to day running of the business. A Bedshed franchise is not a ‘set and forget’ investment – the more you put in, the more rewarding it will be.

Bedshed franchisees are passionate about what they do and gain valuable knowledge about their business by working alongside their sales staff on a daily basis.  They also enjoy the advantages of being their own boss and setting their own hours.

  4. They didn’t all start with knowledge of and experience in the retail bedding industry.

While it is useful for potential franchisees to have some background in retail, bedding and/or franchising, it is not essential.  We have franchisees who have come from fields as diverse as the metal working trade and corporate accounting.  Many people find the skills they have from vastly different roles are transferrable to their new career as a Bedshed franchisee.
